Age Discrimination Filing

In spite of the fact that there are laws that make it illegal to discriminate against an employee because of their age, each year many employees are victims of age discrimination. Filing a complaint should always be a last resort, but for many older employees it is their only means of resolving an issue. The ADEA (Age Discrimination in Employment Act) was created in 1967 to deal specifically with workplace age discrimination. Filing a complaint of age discrimination is a right that can be found in the language of this act. The act has seen some amendments since its creation, but the bottom line of protecting older employees from workplace discrimination is still its sole purpose.
