Age Discrimination Law Suit

Filing an age discrimination lawsuit is an extreme measure to take with regard to age discrimination, but sometimes it's the only answer. In some situations in which a person is being discriminated against because of their age, the issue can be peaceably resolved. In other cases, however, the parties are unable to reach an agreement, and the aggrieved party chooses to file an age discrimination lawsuit. Before filing an age discrimination lawsuit, the aggrieved party should exhaust all other means of resolution including bringing the issue to the union or grievance board at their place of employment, and presenting the case to the EEOC. If they aren't successful, they should gather all pertinent information relevant to the case and contact an attorney; preferably one well versed in age discrimination law. Be advised that a lawsuit can take a long time to resolve and there are costs involved as well.
