Eeoc Harassment

EEOC Harassment can involve an employer and employee, two employees, an agent of the employer and an employee and does not have to be between members of the opposite sex. In 2008, EEOC received 13,867 charges of sexual harassment. 15.9% of those charges were filed by males. Companies are best advised to provide some sort of sexual harassment prevention training and also to set up an effective chain of events that would occur should someone complain of harassment. Of course, sexual harassment is only one form of harassment but it remains the most reported. Any kind of sexual advancement made in the work place is inappropriate but in order for sexual harassment to be proven, the advances must be unwanted. EEOC Harassment cases are handled at a rather slow rate of speed. Once the matter goes before a judge, the judge has 180 days to render a decision. Anyone who does experience harassment should file a claim as soon as possible. Preferably within 30 days.
