Adea Rights Waiver

An ADEA rights waiver is the waiving of rights under the Age Discrimination and Employment Act. This act protects individuals from being discriminated against due to age. In order to waive this right, individuals must knowingly and voluntarily must do so in writing. In order to waive these rights, the individual must get something in return from doing so. This may be done through an increase in the employee's pay or in providing them with better retirement benefits, if they agree to retire at a certain age.
